Who we are
ADU Financing San Diego is a referral service. We publish information about ways to finance an accessory dwelling unit and, when you ask us to, we connect you with a lender who finances ADUs. We are not a lender. This policy explains what we collect when you use this website, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you submit our form we collect your name, email address, phone number, the ZIP code of the property, your project type, an estimated project budget range, your timeline, and anything you choose to add in the notes field. We do not ask for your Social Security number, bank details or date of birth.
Information collected automatically
Standard technical information: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, time on site and referring site, collected through analytics and used in aggregate.
Cookies
We use cookies for basic site function, analytics and, where noted, advertising measurement. You can disable cookies in your browser and the site will still work.
How we use and share your information
We use the information you send us to connect you with a lender who finances ADUs and to follow up on your request.
When you tick the consent box on our form, we share your details with one or more lenders so they can contact you about financing your project. Each lender handles your information under its own privacy policy, and any credit application you make is made directly with that lender.
We also share information with service providers who help us operate, such as hosting, form processing, customer messaging and analytics providers, only to the extent they need it to do that job.
We may receive compensation from a lender when we refer you. We do not sell your information to data brokers.
SMS and text messaging
If you provide your phone number and tick the consent box, you agree to receive text messages from ADU Financing San Diego and from the lender we connect you with about your enquiry. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase or loan.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, other than the lender you asked to be connected with for the purpose of your enquiry. Sharing with service providers that support our messaging is limited to what is required to deliver it. All other use, sharing or sale of mobile opt in data and consent is excluded.
California privacy rights
If you are a California resident you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Sharing your details with a lender at your request is how the service works; you can withdraw that request at any time before the referral is made. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to handle your request and keep a record of the referral, and afterwards for as long as required for legal and regulatory purposes. You can ask us to delete it and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information you send us. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
Children
This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, the date at the top changes.
